Intercultural Collective

The Intercultural Collective is home to various centers, each celebrating our richly diverse campus community. Working together and with units across campus, these teams promote and celebrate student belonging and identities. The Intercultural Collective serves as home to the the following centers.

Barner-McDuffie House

The Barner-McDuffie House focuses on student belonging to develop individual and collective student success. The house celebrates culture and identity while learning from one another through conversations, events, and student and community support.

Native Student Program

113 Euclid Ave. serves as a “home away from home” for Native students and a gathering place for those who are interested in exploring Native American culture and history. A student-led design represents the Haudenosaunee Confederacy alongside Turtle Island tribal communities. This includes exposed pine beams representing the Roots of Peace along with the four directional colors of the Medicine Wheel.

Hendricks Chapel

As the heart of Syracuse University, Hendricks Chapel is the student-centered global home for religious, spiritual, moral and ethical life. Established in 1930 as a home for all faiths and place for all people, the chapel hosts 16 chaplains, more than 25 religious and spiritual groups and sponsors over 2,000 programs.

Explore the SU Art Museum

The Syracuse University Art Museum is a great place on campus to take a break, get inspired or see something new. Always free, and with over 45,000 works in our collection ranging from ancient to contemporary, there’s always something worth exploring. Exhibitions rotate throughout the year, and we’re open late on Thursdays: ideal for a low-key night out.

Center for International Students Updates:

Please complete the Airport Pick Up Interest Survey (if you would like to be picked up by a University service) and RSVP for the International Student Welcome Dinner.

And remember to check the International Undergraduate Orientation Schedule on our Center for International Services website. We have some optional (but hopefully very useful) activities planned for Aug.14-16 (campus tours, shopping trips, picnic) and information sessions on Aug. 17!

Student Employment and Internship Support helps students connect to on- and off-campus jobs ̶ both Federal Work-Study and non-Federal Work-Study ̶ to gain valuable experience, build personal and professional skills, and meet new people.
