Student Engagement is your hub for all things involvement on campus. The Student Engagement team is ready to help you discover and engage your strengths, talents and passions. See below for ways to be involved with Student Engagement!

Involvement Fairs

Meeting representatives from clubs and organizations on campus is a great way to get connected and involved during your first few weeks! Some involvement fairs to keep your eye out for are:

Orange Blast! | Thursday, Aug. 20, 6:30-10 p.m.
Welcome Fête | Friday, Aug. 21, 6:30-9 p.m.
Campuswide Involvement Fair | Sept. 9-11, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Welcome Week Sneak Peak

Welcome Week is Syracuse University's required new student programming designed to help you make a successful transition to campus life. Through a variety of events and programs, students will build connections with faculty, staff and peers while becoming familiar with the many resources and services available to support their success. From celebrating Syracuse traditions to preparing for the first day of classes, Welcome Week is the start of your Orange journey on campus.

Signature events to be on the lookout for:

The Slice is Right | Wednesday, Aug. 19, 8:15-9:30 p.m.
Convocation | Thursday, Aug. 20, 10 a.m.
Community Meet-Ups | Friday and Saturday, Aug. 21-22, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Dome Sweet Dome | Saturday, Aug. 22, 4-5 p.m.
Citrus in the City | Sunday, Aug. 23, 12-3 p.m.

In addition to these signature events, students will participate in required sessions hosted by their home school or college, which provide important information, introductions to faculty and staff and resources specific to their academic journey.

Upcoming Events

Attend a Virtual Pre-Arrival Meeting for new international students. This pre-arrival Zoom meeting is designed to help international students prepare for their transition to Syracuse University. During the session, we will review all required tasks that must be completed prior to arrival, as well as important information students should be aware of once they arrive on campus. We will also discuss helpful resources and support services provided by the Center for International Services, along with tips to help make the initial transition to life at Syracuse University as smooth and successful as possible.

International Undergraduate Students

Meetings will take place on Zoom from 9-10 a.m. EST.
