Youth Career Coaching 



If your high schooler is starting to think about their first job or getting ready for college apps, this Youth Career Coaching class could be really helpful. It covers things like building a resume, getting prepared, and feeling more confident going into the process. A great way to help them feel ready instead of overwhelmed!

Racquet Fest 


Join us on Saturday, May 2nd for a fun-filled day of Tennis and Pickleball! Pros from our program partners at the Saw Mill Club invite the community to hit the Katonah and Bedford Hills courts for this complimentary event for the whole family. Fishing Derby

Bedford Hills Memorial Park

For ages 15 and under


We are thrilled to be holding our 26th Annual Fishing Derby at Lake Marie. This very popular program is open to all residents up to age 15. Bring the whole family and enjoy the beautiful weather as young anglers race to land the prize-winning fish. Volunteers from the Sportsman’s Club of Northern Westchester will be on hand to help youngsters bait hooks, as well as provide fishing tips to first timers. Prizes will be awarded throughout the day. All participants must supply their own fishing pole.

$6 non-residents

Children under 8 years old must have a guardian/parent present.

Open Mic Night


Join us for a night of local talent and good vibes at the Bedford Hills Train Station on Wednesday, May 20th! Take the stage to share your music, comedy, or poetry or just sit back and enjoy an evening of great performances. Performers can choose a 3-, 5-, or 7-minute spot in the spotlight. Come support local talent and enjoy the show!

2026 Pool Programs


Town of Bedford Recreation & Parks is making a splash in 2026 with a mix of returning favorites and exciting new swim programs for all ages! From youth lessons like Little Dolphins to adult lap swim, deep water workouts, and high-energy classes like Cardio Splash and Aqua Zumba, there’s something for everyone to stay active, build skills, and enjoy the water all season long.

Town of Bedford Swim & Dive Teams


Each of our hamlet pool offers a fun and competitive Swim & Dive Team for children ages 6–18. Join the Bedford Hills Barracudas, Katonah Swim & Dive Team, or Bedford Village Vipers this summer. Competing in the Northern Westchester Swim Conference, swimmers participate in both A and exhibition B meets, giving everyone the chance to grow, compete, and feel confident. It’s a great opportunity to develop skills, spend the summer with friends, and make new ones.


Practices during camp season are held before camp at 7:30 AM.

Eligibility: Ages 6–18 (must be 6 on or before 12/1 — no exceptions)

Tri the Park – Youth Triathlon

June 7, 2026 - Bedford Hills Memorial Park - Ages 6–16


"Tri the Park" is a youth triathlon featuring a pool swim, and closed bike and run course through Bedford Hills Memorial Park. Designed for both first-timers and experienced young athletes, the event offers two course options to ensure a safe, encouraging experience for every participant. With professional timing, race shirts, medals, and an electric community vibe, "Tri the Park" inspires kids to set big goals, build confidence, and discover what they’re capable of.

Day Camp Employment 


Paid employment opportunities are available for counselors, specialists, and camp leaders, starting at the age of 16. The commitment for these positions requires the full duration of the six-week camp season. 


Counselor In Training (CIT'S)

The Counselor in Training program is for kids who are 15 years old by the first day of camp. CIT's work alongside camp counselors at the day camp or tiny tots camp to train to become a counselor within the program in the future. CIT's are not paid and can take up to 5 days off for vacation or other camp programs.

2026 SUMMER DAY CAMPS

TINY TOTS CAMP

This camp is open to children ages 3 - 5. Tiny Tots offers a half day of fun with structured play opportunities. Activities include arts and crafts, manipulative play, pretend play, music, physical movement, and more! This program offers children the first taste of the day camp experience. 


TOWN DAY CAMP

Our traditional day camp program is open to children entering Kindergarten* - 7th grade held at each of our hamlet parks, Bedford Hills, Bedford Village and Katonah. Campers enjoy a full day of outdoor fun, including but not limited to swimming lessons, art, athletics, free swimming, group games, special theme days, and more! Campers gain independence, try new activities, make new friends, create lasting memories, and of course have fun!


*Kindergarten Lottery: There is a lottery drawing for entry into the full-day Kindergarten camp for children entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2026.

TEEN TRAVEL CAMP

Teen Get-A-Way is a five-week travel camp (M-Th) for children entering grades 7 - 10. The camp offers a different adventure each day as we take trips to different venues around our area. Past trips have included Dorney Park, The Caves, Dave and Busters, baseball games, Broadway shows, Lake Compounce, fishing trips, Six Flags New England, and more! Registration is open!

2026 Summer Streetball

Boys & Girls Summer Basketball League

Bedford Recreation is thrilled to offer another year of outdoor summer basketball for boys and girls currently in grades 5-10. This program is focused on creating a fun, exciting and competitive experience for ALL! This unique league mixes the fun of playing outdoors with friends with an exciting and competitive experience for ALL! The regular season will consist of 11 games, followed by playoffs where every team qualifies and an all-star game. Games will be played at Bedford Hills Memorial Park basketball courts.


  • Evaluation day is Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 6pm-8pm
  • Opening night is Friday, May 29, 2026
  • Closing day is Friday, July 17, 2026
  • Fee: Resident & School District Residents $150/Non-Residents $180
