We are delighted to begin a new online course on mindfulness starting Monday evening August 26, from 7-9pm Eastern time. Based on the teachings of Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, this class is perfect for those wishing to refresh and renew their practice, as well as for someone just beginning their mindfulness journey.
You will need a high-speed internet connection as well as either a laptop or desktop computer to participate in real time. While our zoom platform allows phone connections, because phones do not allow for the level of interaction we practice, they are not acceptable.
Mindfulness is a way of learning to relate directly to whatever is happening in your life, a way of taking charge of your life, a way of doing something for yourself that no one else can do for you--consciously and systematically, working with your own stress, pain, illness, and the challenges and demands of everyday life.
Our focus will be on cultivating self compassion--opening our heart to ourselves. Given the messages we've gotten throughout our lives, this may seem odd at first--is this not being selfish? The answer is a resounding no! If we do not learn to befriend ourselves, we cannot hope to fully relate to others.
Mindfulness can help you:

ONLINE MINDFUL EATING CLASS TO START NOVEMBER 4TH
What better time to start a mindful eating class than just before the start of the holiday season? We'll meet online for 8 sessions on Monday evenings from 7-8pm Eastern Time from November 4th through December 23rd to wake up to and make more conscious decisions on the foods we're putting into our bodies, slow down to become aware of the flavors and textures of every bite, and learn to truly savor every mouthful. DAYLONG MINDFULNESS IMMERSION RETREAT
