Towel City Tavern, a collaboration between Cabarrus Brewing Company and the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, is the latest addition to the Downtown Kannapolis entertainment district offering a unique dining experience.


The restaurant has a great flow with a busy open kitchen and a wraparound bar where you can enjoy drinks, appetizers, or a full meal.


🍽️ Local Charm: Featuring handcrafted tables from a single Red Oak tree and a dynamic menu by Chef Jeremy Singh, the tavern offers a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces, including the picturesque Towel City Terrace overlooking Atrium Health Ballpark.


🍻 Exclusive Brews & Cocktails: The tavern's drink menu includes five unique Cabarrus Brewing Company brews and seasonal cocktails like the Hot Honey Peach Sour, ensuring a diverse and exciting beverage selection.

Since its inception in 2016, Mt. Pleasant Animal Rescue (MPAR) has been committed to rescuing and rehoming animals in need.


🐾 Volunteer & Foster: Help MPAR by walking dogs, caring for cats, or fostering pets, providing them with love and care until they find permanent homes.


🛒 Critter Corner: Shop for pet supplies at MPAR's retail store, where every purchase supports rescue operations and helps fund the care of animals in need.


💖 Adopt & Donate: Adopt a pet to give them a loving home or donate food, supplies, or funds to support MPAR's mission of rescuing and rehoming animals.

This year, Walk Cabarrus is dedicated to showcasing local walking spots in Cabarrus County with its Walk of the Month feature. For July, take advantage of National Park and Recreation Month to discover the Vietnam Veterans Park Loop, a 1.7-mile mostly natural-surface trail conveniently located between Concord and Kannapolis.

They are looking for volunteers to assist with various tasks, including:

🏃‍♂️ City of Concord Parks & Recreation’s Streetlight 5K and Frolic on July 12th in Downtown Concord promises an evening of entertainment for all! 🌟 This family-friendly event includes kid’s activities that kick off at 6pm followed by 🎶 20 Ride, a Zac Brown tribute band, taking the stage at 8pm. Free and open to the public.


🎅 On July 13th, experience the magic of the holiday season early at Downtown Concord's Christmas in July event! Enjoy a day of festive fun, Santa visits, and local shopping, then head to Lil’ Robert’s Place for its The Grinch Who Stole Christmas Party with live music from Alex Gelis at 8pm, delicious eats, and refreshing drinks! 🎄🍻 See the schedule of events here.


🎩 It's time to start pulling together your most glamorous "Roaring '20s" attire for the adults-only Gatsby Party at Gibson Mill Market on July 19th! 🎟️ This ticketed event is free, but you must reserve your spot. The party will be capped at 250 people.

(DKI) at the Back to School Giveback event on July 20th featuring 🛍️ vendors, 🍔 food trucks, and more! 🏫 A portion of the proceeds will support Kannapolis City Schools, and through July 14th, DKI members will be collecting school supplies.
