Greetings!
Man have we been busy! We finally picked the winner of the Saint Augustine Beer Safari Weekend (see below for details), plus finalized the menu for the Beer Dinner at A1A Ale Works. We've also been working on finishing touches for the upcoming European Beercation Cruises and...Woo Hoo! Guess who actually had a vacation of their own??? Well, okay, mostly vacation, but of course, as always, there was a bunch of future Beercation research and development going on as well!
We started out our trip with some time in Normandy, where we had a chance to taste some local cidre, calvados and of course... beer!
Then on over to Paris for where we took advantage of being in the most romantic city in the world and renewed our vows in celebration of our 25th anniversary. So there you have it:
Couples that Drink Great Beer Together,
Stay Together!
Of course, there is absolutely good beer to be found in Paris, and you better believe we knew where to find it. We stopped into La Fine Mousse, where our friend Laurent is one of the owners. They do a great job here promoting beer and brewers from around the world. They've hosted the likes of Garrett Oliver and Craig Allen and always have an interesting international selection between their bottle list & their 20 taps. Here is a pretty unique one that we came across, the beer was pretty good, but really thought you'd get a kick out of the label...we'll never think of IPA the same again...
Then it was off to Germany to check out a potential future, and as always, brewnique tour itinerary. You know us, we don't like to be typical in how we run tours or in where we visit...so no, we were not in Munich or Bamberg...we were actually barging along the Mosel River, but never fear, we found the beer! (As well as the amazing scenery, castles, food, wine and art!)

| Shiny Brew with a view... |
| Brewer Henrik at Brauhaus Zils is smiling because we are loving his beers! |
| The locals tried to put Ruth to work... |
| Beer Liquor & spirits were something we found pretty common among the brewers we met! |
| OMG! We couldn't pronounce the word they use for potato pancakes, but we had no trouble eating them! They were delicious and went great with the local brews! |
| The views were so awesome... |
| ... that Ruth decided to paint one. |
| We sailed to Metz France, where there was an awesome Cathedral... |
| ...and some pretty cool beer bars! |
| Back to the breweries... gotta get in a Trappist on our trip- so we headed back to Belgium... |
| ...to check out the inside of ORVAL |
| ...as well as the outside |
| ...and of course the amazing ruins... |
...and last, but certainly not least-the
fresh & fabulous beer! CHEERS!

What else? How about spending the week with a small group of like minded beer lovers, and oh, unpack only once, your stuff will come with you as we travel in comfort from place to place on our private canal cruisers!
