Excitement is mounting for the Musical Youth Summer Theatre (MYST) camp. Starting July 7, twenty-five young people will spend three weeks working on all aspects of the popular musical Beetlejuice, under the guidance of three professional instructors - Kelly Coubrough, Lynette Lightfoot and Brooke Richardson. • Into the Woods (November) The popular Sondheim musical take on a collection of your favourite fairly tale characters.
• Ripcord (Feb- March) A hilarious comedy about two incompatible room mates in a seniors' residence and the out-of-control bet they make with each other. Funny but poignant, too.
• The Book of Will (April - May) Based on the true story of William Shakespeare's best friends struggling to preserve his plays in uncorrupted form after his death. Full of wit and wisdom.

Shuswap Theatre recently lost one of its founding members. As part of the fundraising team, Lois Higgins played a pivotal role in the purchase and renovation of our present theatre home in 1980. It was before the days of Shuswap Community Foundation, so Lois took the train from Salmon Arm to Vancouver to procure a large grant from the Vancouver Foundation. Lois said, "It was a memorable trip!" Over the years, she was a wonderful advocate for Shuswap Theatre and a fervent audience member, never missing a production.

Lois leaves a lasting legacy, having been involved with many community groups over the years. We offer our condolences to Robin, David, Bill and their families.
