PAG 31 Starts in Just a Few Days!


Here is some information that will help you arrive ready to go

Registration & Badge Pickup


Upon arrival at the conference, attendees must first pick up their badge and lunch vouchers. Please go to the counters located in the Town & Country Foyer and show the barcode you received via email.

Friday January 10 - 9:00am - 9:00pm

Saturday January 11 - 7:30am - 7:00pm

Sunday January 12 - 7:30am - 5:00pm

Monday January - 7:30am - 5:00pm

Tuesday January 14 - 7:30am - 3:00pm

Wednesday January 15 - 7:30am - 12:00pm

Badges must be worn at all times in Workshop Sessions and must be presented to enter the Exhibit Hall and Poster Areas.

The International Plant and Animal Genome Conference (PAG 31)

Food at PAG


BREAKFAST

A Continental Breakfast will be available from 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM Saturday through Wednesday for all attendees, in the Pacific Foyer. No voucher required, just show your badge. Additional seating will be available in the Pacific Ballroom.


LUNCH

Attendees with a full conference registration will receive printed lunch vouchers for 6 days along with their badges. Weekend-only attendees will receive 3.


Box lunches and salads will be available in the locations listed below, Friday through Wednesday 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM*, and will accept lunch vouchers. (On Monday lunch is scheduled 11:30 - 1:00 pm ).


  • Flamingo Lawn & Palm Lane
  • Saturday through Wednesday
  • Golden State Ballroom/Exhibit Hall
  • Sunday through Tuesday


There will be options for vegetarians - please ask if you don't see them.


Lapper and MRKT will accept vouchers during scheduled lunch times (credit value of $20.70 towards your purchase) as well as cash. No cash back is allowed for vouchers used at any locations.


DINNER OPTIONS

Attendees are on their own most nights regarding dinner, aside from the Opening Reception on Sunday 7:15 PM - 9 PM in the Exhibit Hall and Lower Level, where appetizers and drinks will be served. And, the Banquet on Wednesday 7:15 PM – 12:00 AM in the Exhibit Hall.

Other Available Dining Options at the Town and Country

MRKT, located near the front lobby, has grab-and-go offerings including “egg”-cellent breakfast burritos, wood-fired pizzas, and specialty coffee drinks that you can enjoy on the lawn or in the lobby bar located off the front entrance to the resort.


LAPPER, replacing the Terrace Cafe, is the resort’s poolside bar and eatery which has tasty tacos, salads, burgers and more.


The MONKEY BAR (lobby) offers small bites, inventive drinks, and signature cocktails in a fun mid-century modern lounge.


ARLO, is the Town and Country's signature stand alone destination restaurant which serves up innovative homemade dishes inspired by regional flavors and celebrates the local lifestyle and culinary culture. (Dinner only).


And Beyond!


San Diego has many excellent restaurants and we encourage you to explore! There are various walk-able options including the those nearby the Fashion Valley Mall.


In addition, Old Town, the Gaslamp District, and Little Italy are all accessible via the MTS System and have excellent options.

Add the Poster Sessions to Your Itinerary


Find your number, and add the poster session to your itinerary in the Mobile App. You can search for your poster number in the app under ABSTRACTS.

All rooms and halls at the Town and Country have new names due to the massive renovation in recent years. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the map and room names before your visit.

Exhibit Times Have Been Expanded


The Exhibit Hall will open three hours earlier on Sunday, at 12:00 pm so you can browse the exhibits before the opening Plenary Session at 6:30 pm (Reception to follow).

Late Poster Abstracts


Attendees may still submit a late poster abstract and have a space on-site in San Diego.
