Greetings!

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the fall 2020 semester. As you may already know, the majority of ACC's classes are going to be offered online as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, it is important to know that most of your courses will utilize Blackboard to provide you access to course information and other tools like your syllabus, assignments, discussion boards, grades and more.

How to Navigate Blackboard
Now that you have successfully logged in, watch this short tutorial about navigating Blackboard, reviewing your syllabus, and more.
Important Tips and Helpful Tools for Blackboard
  • Before Class Starts: Be sure to review the course schedule, find your class(es), and review the section notes and instructions to best orient yourself for class.

  • The First Week of Class: Be sure to review your schedule and log into Blackboard on the first day of class to become oriented to the course and read the entire syllabus.

  • During the Semester: Be sure to log in daily, keep a schedule and planner, and submit assignments or assessments on time. Here is a great fall planner from Academic Coaching you can download.

  • Questions: If you have a question or need assistance with your course syllabus, don't delay! Ask your instructor, so you don't get behind.

  • Student Remote Support Services: If you have never taken an online course at ACC, don't worry, there are plenty of resources for you. Visit the Remote Student Support. This website highlights support and services to help you prepare and stay on track with your courses and other personal support you might need.
