We have quite the program in the works for Behind the Scenes on September 9, and we wanted to share the details with you!
The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We'll have tours of the historic Jamestown roundhouse, where the forge will be in use and world-famous movie locomotive Sierra No. 3 will be seen in the midst of its 15-year boiler rebuild.
Equipment on display outdoors will be as follows:
• Sierra Railway coaches Nos. 3 and 6
• Sierra 2-8-2 steam locomotive No. 34
• The Model T
• Speeder No. 106
• Maintenance of Way car No. 80
Hungry? We have that covered. A taco bar will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with picnic seating on Railtown's lawn. Picnic tables will be available, along with plenty of sod for your picnic blankets and chairs.
California State Parks K9's will also be in attendance.
