Doing this will not declare your major, but it will will help academic advisers and department personnel better support you when preparing for advising meetings.
The Fall 2021 final exam schedule is now available. You can view your final exam schedule in the LionPATH Student Center. Please be sure to click the “MORE” link to see all exams. The types of exams you may see include:

  • In-person on a specific day and time (typically 1 hour, 50 minutes) with an actual room assignment;
  • Remote synchronous on specific day and time (typically 1 hour, 50 minutes) with a room designation of WEBFNL;
  • Remote asynchronous on a specific day with a time of 12:00am – 11:59pm (24 hour block). This also has a designation of WEBFNL. Your instructor will be in further contact with you to explain when the final exam will be open for completion within this 24 hour window of time.

The Erie/Behrend final exam schedule is built based on Erie/Behrend courses only. If you are taking a course through another PSU campus location (“multi-campus registration”) or through something called the Digital Learning Cooperative (DLC), you need to review your schedule very carefully to make sure you don’t have a direct conflict (overlap in exam times) or an overload conflict (3 exams in one calendar day or 3 consecutive exam scheduling periods over two days). You will need to work with the instructors directly to resolve a conflict if one exists.

You can request an overload resolution if you qualify. You can apply for an overload resolution using the link provided in LionPATH. If that link is not available to you, please email our office for assistance – REGBD@psu.edu. The deadline to do this is Sunday, October 17, 2021. You will be notified shortly thereafter of the resolution outcome.

Please email the Behrend Registrar's Office at REGBD@psu.edu with any questions.

MAJOR OF THE MONTH: ACCOUNTING, B.S.
MAJOR OF THE MONTH: FINANCE, B.S.
WHAT IS FINANCE?

Finance focuses on how individuals and business organizations raise money and capital, and how those resources are allocated among competing investment and consumption opportunities. The field focuses on domestic and international financial economies and the role of financial markets and institutions key in the movement of savings and investment capital from lenders to borrowers. It also deals with how individuals and corporate managers evaluate alternative investment and savings opportunities and how they choose among various financial instruments.
