Once in a Lifetime!

Gentlemen,

We have been presented with a historic opportunity; the Essex Shillelagh’s have been invited to march in the Belfast 2024 Saint Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday March 17.

Attached is the suggested itinerary for the trip, including ports of call, activities, meals, and transportation for the 9 day adventure!

The details are still being finalized; however, the interest has been overwhelming and positive. Our brother clubs have also shown a keen interest, so if this trip grows, we could potentially end up chartering a plane under the right circumstances.

The trip will be discussed tonight at the General Meeting, please come prepared with any questions.

This trip WILL sell out, DO NOT WAIT.

Day 5 Itinerary

Depart for the historic fortified city of Derry located on the River Foyle. Join up with your local Derry City guide as they walk you through the historic city of Derry. Ranging in height from 12 to 35 feet, you can walk across them and view the city from above as your guide lays out the turbulent history of this once troubled region of Northern Ireland. Spend some free time in Derry City. This historic fortified walled city is located on the River Foyle in Northern Ireland. The city fortifications are amongst the best preserved in Europe and were completed in 1618 to defend the city from Gaelic chieftains in Donegal.
