Dear Bella Vista Families,
I hope everyone had a nice Labor Day weekend. As we begin to head into the middle of September, it’s a great time to register for the SRVEF Run for Education! This year’s run is a virtual event so you have the flexibility to participate at your convenience on the trails, treadmill, or track. This event is one of the biggest fundraisers by the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation which supports public education in the San Ramon Valley. Our school receives 30% of all registrations when you register and designate Bella Vista as your school. Please support our school at the same time as getting some family exercise. You can register here: https://raceroster.com/events/2021/47696/the-2021-run-for-education-san-ramon
Please be aware that next Tuesday, September 14th is a Minimum Day schedule for Staff Development Day. Bella Vista staff will be engaged in equity learning and special education training throughout the afternoon. Please take note of the schedule for Tuesday, 9/14:
- TK: 9:30 - 12:00pm
- Kindergarten: 8:00 - 10:30am
- 1st - 5th Grades: 8:00 - 12:00pm
We are in need of parent volunteers to help out with our lunch supervision in the MPR and on the playground. Parent volunteers need to be cleared through Be A Mentor and will help under the guidance of our Noon Duty Supervisors. Volunteer hours are generally 11:30 - 1:00pm. Please sign up here for a shift or two during the month of September. Thank you!

The Run for Education is a 38 year tradition in the San Ramon Valley, and you don’t want to miss it! The run will be virtual this year, but we hope to bring back some of our traditional in-person activities on October 9 and 10, 2021, based on county guidelines.
The low registration price of $25 includes an SRVEF mask or cape! You can still order a shirt to keep your collection up to date, but orders need to be placed soon to guarantee delivery by September 1st!
This event will be a fundraiser for the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation and each school with 30% of registration net proceeds going directly to your school team chosen. Additionally, the Run for Education is setting up pledge pages for every participant that will allow schools to raise even more money with 70% of those donations going directly to the school.
We are excited about offering this fundraising opportunity to our schools! This is a healthy and fun family activity we can all enjoy while observing local guidelines AND raising funds to support our programs and people! Questions? Contact Karen Robman at [email protected].

Hello Bella Vista families!
We hope everyone had a restful long weekend with their families.
From Monday, September 20th until Friday, September 24th, we will enact Start with HELLO week. We began Start With Hello Week because in every school and in every community, there are young people who suffer silently because they feel left out, alone or invisible. We want to be inclusive of ALL Bella Vista Elementary School students. We want to help everyone start the back-to-school year and immediately feel seen, accepted and safe. Please encourage your child to meet, greet, and say “Hello” to each person who walks by them in Bella Vista! Remember, we want to always say “hello” and smile. A greeting and smile can make someone’s day and goes a long way!
Our Bella Vista PTA still has a few Committee Chair positions available. Please visit us at PTA Board/Committee Chair to see which positions are available. Our Bella Vista Elementary School PTA benefits many of our school programs, students, and children. We have immediate openings for our Run Club Chairperson and an Art Docent Chairperson. These two programs have been very important programs here at our school. If you are interested in chairing any of our programs, please do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail at Christie Lopez BV PTA President.
Our PTA has a few upcoming events in the next few weeks. Please refer to the important dates on our newsletter and on our PTA Events - San Ramon page.
We thank you for your time and support of our Bella Vista PTA!
Have a great weekend!!
Christie Lopez

A Note To Our Families...
Hello Trailblazers,
The Run For Education (RFE) is a 38-year tradition in the San Ramon Valley, and you don’t want to miss it! This is the only run we will be having this year. The Run For Education will be virtual this year, but we hope to bring back some of our traditional in-person activities on October 09 and 10, based on county guidelines.
The Run for Education will share revenue with schools in two ways (so please sign up):
- Registration Fees ($25.00): Schools earn 30% of the net registration fees from every participant that chooses your school.
- Fundraising Pages: Automatically created for every registrant, the school receives 70% of funds raised!
A virtual run is a race where you can run, jog, walk or roll for the distance of your choosing. Whether on the road, trail, treadmill or track, you pick the finish line. Complete a virtual 1K (Friendship or Mini Run), 5K, 10K, or create one of your own. Should you choose to time yourself, you can upload the results and even print a certificate of completion!
An in-person, two-day, Health & Wellness Expo will be held! This event will be October 09 from 9.00am to 3.00pm, and October 10 from 10.00am to 2.00pm at Bishop Ranch 2700 (2700 Camino Ramon), across from City Center (same location as 2019 event).
Details:
○ 5K and 10K are virtual - complete (or not) on your own schedule and course.
○ Mini Run and Friendship Run - optional in person as space allows.
- Donations are accepted until October 31, 2021.
- Results can be uploaded September 10 - October 10. 2021.
- Masks or capes are included with each registration.
- Shirts can be ordered during registration or in the store. Mask/cape/shirt pick up October 9 - 10 at the Health & Wellness Expo.
BVEF meetings are held quarterly. All families are invited and encouraged to attend. Please see the information below or the BVES website, under Ed Fund.
Enjoy the weekend! The Ed Fund Team enjoys working and connecting with our school community!
Thank you families,
