Dear Bella Vista Families,
Happy September! Not only do we see the Autumnal Equinox, but we also commemorate Attendance Awareness Month, Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15), and Patriot Day on September 11. Attendance is crucial to the success of our Trailblazers. Did you know that missing two days of school per month means missing 10% of the school year? Please do all you can to schedule appointments and extended vacations when school is not in session. It is also very important for students to be on-time to school. Coming to school late can cause students to start their day feeling behind. Being on time is important so that we can give kids every opportunity to succeed.
Bella Vista is looking for Child Nutrition Assistants to work in our MPR preparing and serving lunches to our students. Please check out the district’s Classified Human Resources page to view these employment opportunities.
We are in need of parent volunteers to help out with our lunch supervision in the MPR and on the playground. Parent volunteers need to be cleared through Be A Mentor and will help under the guidance of our Noon Duty Supervisors. Volunteer hours are generally 11:30 - 1:00pm. Please sign up here for a shift or two during the month of September. Thank you!

The Run for Education is a 38 year tradition in the San Ramon Valley, and you don’t want to miss it! The run will be virtual this year, but we hope to bring back some of our traditional in-person activities on October 9 and 10, 2021, based on county guidelines.
The low registration price of $25 includes an SRVEF mask or cape! You can still order a shirt to keep your collection up to date, but orders need to be placed soon to guarantee delivery by September 1st!
This event will be a fundraiser for the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation and each school with 30% of registration net proceeds going directly to your school team chosen. Additionally, the Run for Education is setting up pledge pages for every participant that will allow schools to raise even more money with 70% of those donations going directly to the school.
We are excited about offering this fundraising opportunity to our schools! This is a healthy and fun family activity we can all enjoy while observing local guidelines AND raising funds to support our programs and people! Questions? Contact Karen Robman at [email protected].

A Note To Our Families...
Hello Trailblazers,
There are so many ways to give back to your community. If you are looking at a few easy methods to give back to Bella Vista Elementary School, here are a couple of simple ways:
A way to help our school is with Corporate Match. It is a simple task to double your donations!
You donate. Your employer matches it. Double the funds!
Submitting your charitable donation for Corporate Matching with your employer, helps Bella Vista Ed Fund and your children. If you have any questions about how to get that set up, please refer to our corporate matching page or reach out to our BVEF Treasurer, Jessie Ang at [email protected].
The Run For Education (RFE) is a 38-year tradition in the San Ramon Valley, and you don’t want to miss it! This is the only run we will be having this year. The Run For Education will be virtual this year, but we hope to bring back some of our traditional in-person activities on October 9 and 10, 2021, based on county guidelines.
The low registration price of $25.00 includes an SRVEF mask or cape! You can still order a shirt to keep your collection up to date. T-shirt delivery starts Sept. 1st and the final order is on Oct 15th at 5pm.
BVEF meetings are held quarterly. All families are invited and encouraged to attend. Please see the information below under resources or the BVES website, under Ed Fund.
Enjoy the weekend! The Ed Fund Team enjoys working and connecting with our school community!
Thank you families,
Sonali Atry, BVEF President

A Note About Our Email Distribution List...
If at any time, you would like to change the lists you receive communications from or the email address they are sent to, please use the Update Profile link that is in the footer of any the emails we send you. This link is unique to YOUR email address. If you wish to leave one list but not another, use the Update Profile link below to make the change because the unsubscribe link removes you from ALL lists and requires more effort on your part to fix.
