START THE SCHOOL YEAR WITH PURPOSE — WORK TOWARD WOLVERINE GUARD!
Even if you didn’t volunteer over the summer, it’s not too late to start! The Bellevue High PTSA Wolverine Guard (WG) recognizes students who complete 100+ hours of eligible community service during the service year.
SERVICE THAT BUILDS YEAR AFTER YEAR
Students who earn WG for 2+ years qualify for a blue/gold honor cord and tassel at graduation. Those who earn WG for all four years receive a gold-tasseled honor cord and the Wolverine Guard Distinction Community Service Award, recognizing 400+ service hours.
CHECK ELIGIBILITY BEFORE YOU VOLUNTEER!
Not every activity or service hour qualifies. Students and parents should carefully review eligibility and documentation requirements before volunteering.
Know the requirements before you start and keep accurate records!

All current BHS parents and caregivers are invited.
These five panelists will share practical insights to help families support their students across many facets of life at BHS:

- Becki Kao, Office Manager
- Michelle Pflaum, Parent
- Matt Stokes, Assistant Principal (A-Ha)
IConnect is a parentrun program of the BHS PTSA designed to foster community
engagement. Meetings are held in person throughout the year and will be announced in both the PTSA Blast and the Principal’s Newsletter.

SUGGEST A QUESTION: Thriving at Bellevue High: Strategies for Success from the Experts – Fill out form
BACKGROUND: I‑Connect began in 2014 when parent Asako Yoshimura moved with her family to Medina Elementary. She recognized that families entering a new school community often benefit from a place to meet people and build connections. With two other parents, she created I‑Connect as a space for regular, face‑to‑face conversations where families could share experiences and support one another. The program later expanded to Chinook and Odle Middle Schools and to Bellevue High. In 2017, the Washington State PTA honored I‑Connect with a Local PTA and Council Award of Excellence.

Hello Wolverines, and welcome to the 2026-2027 school year!
I'm Ms. Bryan, your friendly librarian, and I'm so excited to be back with you all!
Each Friday, look for an email from me with news about the library. Here I'll let you know about any schedule changes for the week ahead, alerts about new books in the collection, events around town you might be interested in, and other various bookish news. This newsletter starts as an email to you, the students, and is also included in Dr. Anderson's Principal Newsletter that is sent to families on Monday mornings, as well as the PTSA's Bellevue Blast, which is sent on Tuesday mornings, so your adults get this newsletter too.
-
In an effort to start off on the right foot with clear expectations, here are the Library Rules:
- No eating in the library — while the library is usually open during the lunch period for quiet study and socializing, please eat your lunch elsewhere and then come in and hang out. Water in closed containers is OK!
-
Please only enter and exit through the main doors — the door at the back of the library is an emergency exit and will sound a (very loud!) alarm.
- Please always sign in at the library entrance — this is a way to account for who is and isn't in the library in case of an evacuation emergency.
-
You should have a pass from a teacher if you are in the library during instructional time, unless you are: a Running Start / Discovery student; an upper classperson with a free 1st or 7th period; or enrolled in a world language class that meets in the library.
- Cell phones should always be off and away during instructional time.
- The library bathroom is reserved for students using the library. You should always use the bathroom closest to the classroom you're in.
- Please respect the space and each other by cleaning up after yourself and pushing in your chair when you leave.
- FYI, there are reserved tables for world language classes in the front of the library. Please keep these tables and chairs clear for the students who need to use it as their classroom.
It's going to be a great year! If you have any questions, want help finding a book, have suggestions, or just want to talk about what you're reading, come see me in the library or send me an email or Teams Chat!

Our rehearsals begin the week of September 8, but we continue to welcome new singers throughout September, with fall enrollment closing October 1.
Bellevue Youth Choirs serves singers ages 4–24, with choirs for beginning through advanced singers and performance opportunities for every age group. We already have some fun community outreach performances scheduled for our choirs this year, and singers in Lyrica (5th grade+) and our older ensembles also have the opportunity to tour to Disneyland this spring!
This is also BYC's 15th anniversary season, and we're so excited to continue growing and creating a place for young people in our region to sing, learn, perform, and find community.
