Collaborative Research Actions
The Call for Proposals is now open! This call will close 29 July 2022. Successful proposals will focus on illuminating the determinants of migration in relation to Global Change processes like environmental and climate change, demographic changes, consumption patterns, energy use, and land-use. Systems of Sustainable Consumption and Production (SSCP 2022) is closing on 10 May 2022. This call focuses on transdisciplinary research for sustainable consumption and production, sustainable and resilient industries and their governance systems, social inequality and environmental justice, and integrating new technologies, policies, and practices into everyday life. Sustainability Research and Innovation Congress 2022
Register Today for SRI2022!
The 2022 Sustainability Research and Innovation Congress (SRI) is being held this year both online and on-site in Pretoria, South Africa June 20 - 24. Building on last year's success, we are hosting an innovation program being led up by a variety of free, thought-provoking, and useful Pre-SRI events, including Be Belmont Applicable and the SRI Inkundlas. 

Join us either virtually or in person by registering now. There is a limited number of in-person registration so act fast! We have a limited number of scholarships available for those from low-and middle-income countries. The application deadline for scholarships is April 15, 2022, on the registration page. 

Future Earth and the Belmont Forum are seeking a host interested in developing the third edition of the renowned Sustainability Research and Innovation Congress (SRI2023). Join us by submitting a bid to shape an innovative transdisciplinary discussion space together to unite global thought leaders, experts, industries, and innovators to inspire action and promote a sustainability transformation! 
Free Pre-SRI Events: Be Belmont Applicable
Last year we launched the Be Belmont Applicable series, including the Alumni Panel and the Technical Submission to help interested researchers navigate Belmont Forum goals and eligibility. This year, we will hold two sessions of Be Belmont Applicable tailoring to our newly opened Funding Calls, Migration/Mobility & Global Change, and Systems of Sustainable Consumption and Production. Free Pre-SRI Events: Inkundla #3: Cascading Climate Impacts across Geographical Boundaries – Social Simulation
The last Inkundla event will be an exciting interactive social simulation with a focus on cascading climate impacts. Held on April 21, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm SAST, this is an event you will not want to miss! Register to the Pre-SRI platform for free access.
Upcoming Scoping Events
Urban Blue and Green:
This CRA aims to undertake research needed to understand how blue and green spaces in urban areas function, in order to determine how to sustainably manage them to maximise the environmental, social, cultural, and health benefits they provide. Led by the NERC, UK, three online scoping workshops will be held in June for experts (research community and or funding representatives).

The Belmont Forum welcomes Yiwei Zhang from NSFC (China) and Fany Ramos Quispe, an IAI STeP Fellow, to the Belmont Forum Secretariat.
