QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER — October 2022
Our Collaborative Research Actions

Ongoing CRAs
Migration 2022 is under review!

This CRA focuses on the intersection of human migration and mobility in the era of Global Change. Successful proposals will focus on illuminating the determinants of migration – why people move/do not move, from/where/when, and on what time scale, in relation to Global Change processes like environmental, and climate change, demographic changes, consumption patterns, energy use, and land-use. Proposals are under review and a decision will be announced in the next few months. Best of luck to all applicants and a big thank you to all our panel of experts, who are taking an active role in our proposal review process.
SSCP 2022 is half way!

The CRA on Systems of Sustainable Consumption and Production (SSCP) has finalised the full proposal submission. The GRC is assembling External Reviewers and the second Panel of Experts meeting will be hosted this December in Taipei. The awarded projects will soon be announced and launched in early 2023. The CRA will employ transdisciplinary research to address the industrial and social transitions toward sustainable resource consumption and exploitation through combined efforts of technology adaptation, policy implementation, and behavioural changes.
Ending CRAs
The SUGI Nexus Collaborative Research Action came to an end. This was a collaboration with the Joint Programming Initiative Urban Europe to bring together research and expertise across the globe to find innovative solutions to the Food-Water-Energy Nexus challenge.

Find the results and outcomes from the 15 international research and innovation projects that started in 2018 with the aim to better understand the interconnectivity between food, water, and energy in an urban environment, advance indicators and assessment tools and offer innovative solutions for sustainable cities in the SUGI FWE Nexus Special edition newsletter.
