The Beloit City Council will hold their regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. on October 2nd. The meeting will be held in the first floor Forum at Beloit City Hall, 100 State Street.


The meeting will be live-streamed on Charter Channel 992 and on Beloit Access Television (BATV) YouTube channel.

2024 Community Development Block Grant Feedback Requested


Review and provide public comment on the proposed 2024 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan and proposed 2024 CDBG budget through October 30, 2023.


The Annual Plan and CDBG budget is available on the City's website here.


Members of the public may view the documents in the lobby on the 1st floor of City Hall, 100 State Street, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and at the Beloit Public Library during normal business hours.


On October 16, 2023 a Public Hearing will be held during the City Council meeting to give the public an opportunity to provide feedback. The meeting will take place at Beloit City Hall, 100 State St., Beloit, beginning at 7:00 p.m.


On November 6, 2023, Beloit City Council shall consider all public input received and will vote on the proposed 2024 CDBG Budget and Annual Plan. The meeting is open to the public, and will take place at Beloit City Hall, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Proposed 2024 City Budget Now Online


The proposed 2024 City of Beloit budget is available on the City's website. Earlier this summer, the City Manager reviewed all budgets submitted by various departments and they have been consolidated into one document.


The budget will be presented at the Council meeting on October 2, 2023 and City Councilors will participate in a budget workshop on October 9th at the Beloit Public Library. The public is invited to attend both presentations.

Beloit Bundle Up


Visit Beloit invites residents to drop off new or gently used coats, snow pants, sweaters, hats, mittens, and new socks as part of the Beloit Bundle Up campaign. The Beloit Bundle Up is a state line collection program running September 18 - October 18, 2023. All items donated will be given to Community Action, Inc. and Youth2Youth 4 Change.

Coffee with a Cop


Celebrate National Coffee with a Cop Day on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. Our Beloit Police Department will host informal conversations over a cup of coffee at the Rotary River Center, 1160 S. Riverside Drive from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. on October 4th.


The mission of Coffee with a Cop is to break down the barriers between police officers and the community they serve by removing agendas and allowing opportunities to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers in your neighborhood.

Fall Cemetery Clean-Up


Fall clean-up by cemetery patrons is scheduled for October 1 - 15. Cemetery staff will remove any remaining decorations after October 15. New decorations may be placed after November 1st.


The City is not responsible for any disposed decorations.

2023 Beloit Senior Fair - October 3rd


Join the community for the 35th Annual Beloit Senior Fair from 9am - 1pm on Tuesday, October 3, at 3 Eclipse Center, Beloit (corner of Riverside Dr. and Henry Ave.)


FREE admission with over 55 exhibitors. FREE bus rides by Beloit Transit. Flu shots, health screenings, RX round-up, document shredding, music, and more.

Faith & Blue Kickball Tournament


Kickball Tournament on Saturday, October 7, 11am - 2pm at Pohlman Field, 2301 Skyline Drive.


Bracket tournament offers competition on two levels: ages 5-11 & 12-18. 10 people per team. Bracket champion will play against Beloit Police and Beloit Police Chaplains.
