The City Council will hold their regular meeting on Monday, September 19, 2022, at 7:00 p.m.
The meeting will be held in person in the first-floor forum at Beloit City Hall, 100 State St. The meeting will be live-streamed on Charter Channel 992 and on Beloit Access Television (BATV) YouTube channel.

Parents & Caregivers of Young Children - Please Take the GBEDC Childcare Survey!
The GBEDC’s Quality of Life Committee is seeking to better understand parent & caregiver needs for childcare in our area, particularly as they relate to workforce participation. Please take a short survey designed for parents & caregivers of children who are not yet in elementary school and who live and/or work in Beloit. The survey results may be used to shape policy recommendations for the GBEDC Board. Please consider taking this short survey and sharing it with your networks. City of Beloit Supporting Main Street Bounceback Grants
The City of Beloit is providing letters of support to local businesses seeking the State of Wisconsin’s Main Street Bounceback Grant. The deadline to apply for the grant is December 31, 2022.
The program provides $10,000 grants to businesses moving into vacant commercial spaces of at least 400 square feet. The grant funds can be used for lease or mortgage payments, operating expenses, building repairs, tenant improvements and other qualified expenses. Funds cannot be used on storage spaces or for residential uses.

Fall 2022 Terrace Tree Planting Requests
The City of Beloit Public Works Department is currently accepting requests from residents for terrace trees to be planted this fall.
The terrace tree species selection will be determined by the city forestry supervisor while taking into account the size of the terrace, presence of utilities and exotic invasive insects. Trees will be planted on a first-come, first-served basis, limited supply available. Forestry will accept requests through Friday, September 30, 2022.
