Public Information Meetings on Upcoming Road Projects

The community is invited to join the Department of Public Works' Engineering Division for two public informational meetings on upcoming road projects. Both meetings will be held at 2400 Springbrook Court.

  • Tuesday, July 18, 5:30-6:30 p.m. - Topic: Cranston Road between Prairie Avenue and Collingswood Drive.
  • Wednesday, July 19, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. - Topic: Henry Avenue between Royce Avenue and Prairie Avenue.

Both projects are scheduled for construction in 2024. Each project includes street resurfacing and a road diet that converts four lane sections of roadway to two lanes. These projects are planned with traffic-calming measures designed to reduce speed and life-threatening accidents.

Beloit Farmers' Market Named to Top 10

We always knew it was one of the best, but now America knows, too!

The Beloit Farmers' Market was named in a list of "10 best markets in America" by Holidu, a search engine for vacation rentals. They evaluated more than 1500 farmers' markets from all states, and the final ranking was drawn up using the USDA database and Google data.

Stop downtown at the outdoor Beloit Farmers' Market between 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Saturdays through October (before they move inside for the winter). "Meet us at State and Grand!"

MadRep Survey

The Madison Region Economic Partnership (MadREP), having facilitated Southcentral Wisconsin's previous five-year regional blueprints for economic growth, is collecting input for a 2024-2028 strategy.

The plan will specifically cover the 8-county Madison Region served by MadREP, consisting of Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Green, Iowa, Jefferson, Rock, and Sauk counties.

MadREP wants the community's perspective and expertise on how it can build a more equitable and successful economic future for Southcentral Wisconsin in its next comprehensive economic development strategy (CEDS). Please take this survey:
