LAST SUNDAY

Joys & Sorrows

Congratulations

Our very own Rachel F. was accepted into the Star King School for the Ministry! Rachel will be double majoring, seeking her Masters of Divinity and Masters of Arts and Social Change. What a wonderful accomplishment! And, what a win for Unitarian Universalism! Congrats to Rachel!

Rememberances

This past Memorial Day weekend, Tom C. remembered family members lost during WWII: Richard Keller and Thomas Roscoe. May their memories be a blessing.

May we know that our joys and sorrows are part of the sacred circle of life. May we be grateful for the Love that binds us to one another and will not let us go.

The joys and sorrows shared here are shared with expressed permission.

Story for All Ages

Last Sunday's Story for All Ages was Dear Street by Lindsay Zier-Vogel (author) and Caroline Bonne-Muller (illustrator).

You can purchase it by clicking on the button below to find a seller. As part of our commitment to justice and equity, we encourage everyone to shop Black-owned bookstores (like Elizabeth's Bookshop and Writing Centre in Akron OH, which is both Black-owned and LGBTQIA+ owned).

If a Black-owned store doesn't have it, try to find it locally; and if you can't find it to purchase, try the library!

Thank You MVUUF

Last Sunday, we celebrated you, our volunteers. As part of our celebration, we invited you to write thank you notes - on hearts, and in the chat - to ministries within the congregation. Here is a non-exhaustive list of the 'Thank Yous' we were able to collect (summarized for space).

Thank you...

Youth Religious Education Staff and volunteers, for teaching our children, for caring for our future.

To our Youth Group members.

Worship Team, for the wonderful sermons, and those who put up the quilt!

CUUPS, CUUPS, CUUPS.

Music and musicians, for ministering to our need for song.

The Board, for their immense dedication.

Those who have sustained us through generations.

Organizers.

The fellowship, for your presence, and the sacred connections.

To the members who sustain us.

Pastoral care, for building a supportive community.

All of the people!

Greeters and everyone who says "Hello" and asks "How are you?"

To fellow volunteers.

To folks who listen to our rambles.

Tech "wizards" who make our sound system and virtual service work each week!

Ushers, for doing the work behind the scenes.

Those who come to worship!

Staff, for dedicating their professional life to our faith.

To our minister, for her leadership.

To all of us for our unending commitment to covenant, to staying at the table.
