Belterra Residents,

In our rapidly changing environment, we are working hard to be able to reopen the amenities you have come to expect and enjoy. We have reviewed Governor Abbott’s “Strike Force to Open Texas” checklists and protocols pertaining to the opening of pools and fitness centers. The health and safety of our residents and staff is important. In accordance with state and local orders the Rec Center including management office, playground, sport court and fitness center and The Retreat at San Saba will remain closed until further notice.

In anticipation we are currently working on securing the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) that is required to open these areas, as the protocols outline, for both our residents and our staff.

Furthermore, we are also in the process of obtaining necessary staffing, training, and signage recommended and/or required per governmental guidelines. With the current demand of PPE and getting our team properly trained to handle the new processes required for access to our amenities, we are tentatively targeting a phased opening in June for the pool facility. We will continue to stay attuned to many governmental agencies that are guiding us all through this and will keep you updated as we learn more.

From the governor’s website: “The virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread to others by infected persons who have few or no symptoms. Even if an infected person is only mildly ill, the people they spread it to may become seriously ill or even die, especially if that person is 65 or older with pre-existing health conditions that place them at higher risk. Because of the hidden nature of this threat, everyone should rigorously follow the practices specified in these protocols, all of which facilitate a safe and measured reopening of Texas. The virus that causes COVID-19 is still circulating in our communities. We should continue to observe practices that protect everyone, including those who are most vulnerable.”

We will continue to communicate with you over the next few of weeks to keep you apprised on any changes of our evolving plans and schedule.

This is uncharted territory for us all. However, we know that with your continued patience and our continued diligence to ensure we open with the proper procedures in place, it will be worth the wait.

Stay safe and be well!
