Highlights from the Belvidere City Council Meeting
of April 3, 2023
Mayor Morris presented a proclamation to Judge C. Robert Tobin III recognizing and proclaiming "Child Abuse Prevention & Awareness Month" in the City of Belvidere, Illinois.
Council passed and adopted the following ordinances and resolutions:
Ord. #618H: An Ordinance Granting a Special Use to Allow Indoor Commercial Entertainment Within the PB, Planned Business District (1946 Gateway Center Drive).
Ord. #619H: An Ordinance Amending Chapter 150, Zoning Ordinance, of the Municipal Code (Sections 150.706 Exterior Storage Standards for Residential, Office and Commercial Districts, 150.712 Fencing Standards and 150.1008 Changeable Copy Signs).
Ord. #620H: An Ordinance Granting a Special Use to Allow Indoor Commercial Entertainment within the CB, Central Business District (132 N. State Street).
Ord. #621H: An Ordinance Granting a Special Use to Allow In-Vehicle Sales or Service (Automatic Car Wash) and Indoor Commercial Entertainment (Video Gaming) Within the GB, General Business District (1125 North State Street).
Ord. #622H: An Ordinance Budgeting for all corporate purposes for the City of Belvidere, Boone County, Illinois for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 2023 and ending April 30, 2024.
Ord. #623H: An Ordinance Amending Article VIII of Chapter 26 of the City of Belvidere Municipal Code Relating to Mobile Food Vehicles.
Ord. #624H: An Ordinance Amending Section 98-12(a)(3) Sidewalk Cafés of the City of Belvidere Municipal Code.
Ord. #625H: An Ordinance Amending Chapter 46, Fire Prevention and Protection of the City of Belvidere Municipal Code to Add a New Article III, Ambulance Services.
Res. #2023-12: A Resolution for Improvement Under the Illinois Highway Code for Newburg Road from Irene Road to Shaw Road.
Res. #2023-13: A Resolution Authorizing the Mayor to Execute an Inter-Governmental Agreement Between the City of Belvidere and Belvidere Community Unit School District 100 Regarding Reciprocal Reporting and Surveillance System Access.
