Belvidere Strong

So many people are looking for ways to support those impacted in Friday night's tornado. We don't have answers yet on how to help those involved, but will share details when we have that information.

State Representative Dave Vella is working closely with IEMA to understand how businesses and individuals might become eligible for disaster related funds. His office has asked the Belvidere Chamber of Commerce to start a list of business or individuals with property damage from the tornado.

If your business or personal property was damaged from the tornado, please send your name, business name (if applicable), property address, phone number, what damages were sustained, an assessment of the costs if you have one, and any pictures you have of the damage. Please email the above information to [email protected] .

If you have specific questions about this, you can contact Nathan Blevins, Head of Constituent Services at Office of State Representative Dave Vella at (815)329-6776.

What is Cross-Connection? Cross-Connection is an unprotected or improper connection to the public water system that may cause contamination or pollution to enter the system. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) are responsible for enforcing Cross-Connection regulations. Please be assured this is not necessarily an indication of any problems, but is required by the IEPA.
