New Fire Engine

The Mission of the Belvidere Fire Department is to serve our community by providing emergency rescue and fire protection services that exceed expectations; to be there for the community at their greatest times of need. At the heart of that mission is the fire engine.

On August 18th, 2023, at 07:00 am the City of Belvidere Fire Department put its new fire engine into front line service with a small ceremony. The engine will be serving the community out of Station 1, 123 S. State Street in Belvidere. The engine will be staffed 24/7 and 365 with skilled and dedicated paramedic/firefighters who provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) services. The crews and drivers spent the last 60 days prepping and training on the new engine. The 2022 Pierce is replacing a 2002 American LaFrance.
