Four Entrepreneurs Graduate from FastTrac Program

Committee of the Whole Meeting January 23, 2023

At the Committee of the Whole Meeting of January 23, 2023, Fire Chief Shawn Schadle presented the Ambulance Services Proposals the City of Belvidere received. Council made a motion for a 5-year agreement with Metro Paramedic Services Inc. to provide ambulance services as outlined in the January 4, 2023 proposal at an approximate annual cost of $1,659,733.00 per year and total cost not to exceed $8,298,665.00 for the term of the 5-year agreement. City staff shall negotiate the final Paramedic Service Agreement for final approval of the City Council. This motion will be forwarded to City Council Meeting of February 6, 2023.

City of Belvidere Business License Registration

The City of Belvidere Business License Registration Ordinance states that it shall be unlawful for any person to operate, conduct or engage in any business within the city, or any territory subject to its ordinances, without first having obtained a business registration license from the city. The Clerk's office is diligently working on trying to get all new businesses and any business that may have not yet completed the form to obtain a license. There is no fee for the General Business License Registration. If your business has not obtained a license, please click here for application.
IDA PUBLIC LIBRARY

Are you curious how Ida Public Library operates? Would you like the opportunity to help the library grow? You're in luck because Ida Public Library has an open spot for a Library Board Trustee! This is a volunteer position with monthly board meetings on the 4th Tuesday of each month. You will work with the rest of the Library Board and the Library Director to determine budgets, tax levy requests, growth opportunities, policies, and other general public library tasks.
