We, the firefighters and EMS of Belvidere Fire Department, would like to say thank you to all that came out and made our open house a huge success. The weather was nice, albeit a little cold, but this town still showed up. We hope everyone had the opportunity to talk to one of your local public servants and hopefully learned a thing or two about being safer in your home and in the community.
Thank you to the City of Belvidere for allowing this event and supporting us, to the firefighters and EMS that volunteered their time to be part of this community event, and to the Belvidere Public Works Department for coming out and barricading the street so all those in attendance could have a safe and secure environment.
Also a big thank you to all those that participated in the event or helped supply items for it. ComEd, Nicor, Luthren K-9 dogs, Denny’s Car Hauling, Playhouse inflatables, Mercy Health MD1, REACT helicopter, Boone County Fire Explorers, Sips and Sprinkles, Belvidere High School Cheerleaders and Lisa Turbyville State Farm Insurance.
