MADD Hero Award

The Belvidere Police Department is very proud to announce Officer Matthew Korn was the recipient of the MADD Hero award 2023 for his commitment to DUI enforcement. Officer Korn was honored at a MADD banquet in Springfield this past Saturday. His dedication and life saving efforts continue to make the streets of Belvidere a safer place to live and drive. Thank you Officer Korn for your hard work.

9/11 Dedication

Belvidere firefighters raise the 9/11 flag. This flag flew over the FDNY command post in the recovery efforts following the attacks on the World Trade Center.

Public Works Retirement

Please join the City of Belvidere in wishing Jesse Gonzales a very happy and rewarding retirement. Jesse has dedicated 33 years to the City of Belvidere Public Works Department.

Belvidere Fire will be hosting a Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED training. Class will be on Sept. 23rd from 8am - Noon at Station 1, 123 S. State St. Cost is $60 per student.
