It was an intense and exciting Brown’s Oil Service Late Model 75 lap Figure 8 Tuesday July 3rd at the Tom Wood Group Indianapolis Speedrome Powered by Lincoln Tech. The midweek lineup included stars from out of town challenging the home track talent for a $2,000 top prize. Ronnie Basham III and RJ Norton Jr were upfront early before being joined in the first-place pursuit by cousins Mark and Ben Tunny. Mark got the spot and pushed to a nice advantage until heavy traffic hampered his progress. Ben worked thru Norton then Basham and started reeling in the leader. The last third of the race was scintillating as the top two battled all the way. Ben came out on top for his 7th win of the year. Mark was second and Ronnie third.

The Last Chance Wrecker Factory Front Wheel Drives kicked off the July-August-September campaign with a strong 33-car roster. Heat races were captured by David McNear Jr, Deven Bowman, Jess Holliday, and Trae Bowman. Dave Lester took off to a nice early lead in the 20-lap main. A mid race red flag brought several other drivers into the mix. The restart unleashed a gaggle victory-hungry pilots. Emerging to win and shake off a season of ups and downs was former division champion Don VanValkenburg III. Scott Stewart Jr was a very close second and Jess Holliday third.

The Shelbyville Auto Parts Thundercars also began their second half points standings pursuit Tuesday evening. Veteran racers would show their experience throughout this program. The #274 machine would take its second straight. Father Brian Canter drove it to victory on Saturday. But on this night, it was son Nate Canter going wire-to-wire for his first official main event win of 2018. Aaron Smay was the runner-up with freshly crowned April-May-June king EJ Neat third. Canter and Smay split preliminary events.

Who is going to stop the runaway train known as Kyle Norris? This former Adult Faskart championship runner-up is focused on notching up on that stat in his resume. Tuesday night, he missed the early multiple car scrum in the south end during the early stages to drive to a fourth consecutive feature victory. Drake Stancil finished second followed by Manny Aguilar, Cody Kennedy, Dave Drinkard, Chuck McGinnis, and Devin Logue.
