What's for Lunch?

Dear Ben Franklin Families,

I hope this message finds you well.

At the end of the day pick up (3:45) we have parents walking up to get their children from the front of the school. This leads to kids and parents walking through traffic.

We do offer an opportunity for parents to pick up students by walking up, but those students are brought to the playground.

If you plan to get out of your car or walk to pick up, please let your child's teacher know and they will be waiting on the playground area for you.

Please look below, and make note of our upcoming events.

Kind Regards,

Justin Goffard

Principal

A Piece of the PIE

👏 Thanks to everyone who joined us for the first PIE meeting of the new school year! Our next meeting will be at 6 p.m. on Oct. 8 at Riverside.

📚 Mark your calendars! Our first fundraiser of the year, Ben Franklin's read-a-thon, is Sept. 22-Oct. 3. More details coming soon.

📚 What's that, two book emojis in one weekly update?! We do love to read here at PIE, and we also love our Scholastic book fairs. We hope that students at Riverside got their fill this past week at the first book fair of the year. These proceeds go towards filling classrooms and students' backpacks with fresh reading materials, among other things.

💻 There is plenty more coming up this fall, and the best way to stay up-to-date is by joining our Facebook page

Want to help at Ben Franklin?

There are many opportunities to help out at school. Whether helping in the classroom, at PTO events or chaperoning a field trip, we'd love your help.

To ensure that all adults who come in contact with your children are safe to do so, we run background checks on all volunteers. You can apply today to be a volunteer at the link below. Please note that it does take 48-96 hours for the process, so if you want to volunteer, apply early.
