Ben-Hem Updates

Wednesday, August 29th - First Day of School
***Please see Kindergarten Welcome Letter for Kindergarten Start of School Schedule***
Our school feels very different in the summer. Luckily the Sargent Camp is here during the week so we still have children on campus. Otherwise, it is way too quiet. This summer our classrooms have been cleaned, waxed and polished to get ready for a great year. We have a fresh coat of paint in the main hallway. Old furniture is being repaired or replaced. Everything is looking good.  Our custodial team has been working hard to get everything looking great. They are awesome!

Ms. MacEwan is officially a part of our team as the new Assistant Principal. She was able to come to the first incoming K play date and got to see our community in action. We had a great turnout. The high temps and humidity didn't keep our Bobcats away. It was great to see so many new faces and it looked like the children made fast friends.

Ms. Lyons, our new First Grade teacher has been into her new classroom dropping off supplies.  She is eager to start the year. We are interviewing for a new Physical Education teacher since Mr. Cap retired. Those are going well and we should be all set soon. Otherwise, we are busy making plans and getting ready for a fabulous year.

Remember to read! If each Bobcat reads four books we will hit our goal! We will be hosting a Welcome Back Pep Rally for students on September 6th. It would be great if we could celebrate meeting this goal too.

Take time to enjoy this slower pace.  We will all be back together before you know it.
