Ben Smith Leaving The Groves

As of July 11th, Ben Smith will no longer be serving as the Community Manager for The Groves. Please see the note below from Ben regarding his departure: 

It is with mixed emotions that I write to let you all know that I will be stepping down from my role as Community Manager. My family and I have made the decision to relocate back to Colorado, and as a result, I’ll be leaving my position here at The Groves.

Leaving is never easy, and I have truly enjoyed my time here. But my family’s needs are taking us in a new direction, and while I will miss being a part of The Groves, I know this decision is the right one for us. 

I want to express my sincere gratitude to each of you for your support. Whether it was a friendly chat at an event, your involvement in community meetings, or the simple way you’ve made my job easier with your patience and understanding, I’ve truly appreciated every moment spent working with you. 

I’m confident that The Groves will continue to flourish, and I know the community will remain in good hands.  

I wish you all continued success and growth.

We understand the impact individuals in leadership roles can have on the community and are thankful for Ben’s service to The Groves. We are also happy to report that we have already hired the new Community Manager for the Groves, Brittany Black, who will be starting on Monday, June 30, 2025. While Ben’s last day onsite will be this Friday, June 27th, we have been able to arrange an overlap of two weeks, with Ben remotely supporting her and the community until his official last day on Friday, July 11th. 

The Board of Directors and CCMC are committed to maintaining the positive direction and growth of the community after the recent transition to resident control and your new full resident board, and are very confident that your new Community Manager, Brittany Black, will do just that. Once Brittany starts, we will send out an introductory email and schedule a manager meet-and-greet.  

We understand that change can be challenging, and we appreciate your continued support of The Groves and CCMC. As we move forward, we remain focused on the goals and objectives of the community, and we are confident in our team’s ability to navigate this change. We thank Ben for his service to the community and wish him all the best in Colorado.
