We are incredibly excited for the start of the school year. Please find details from the Health Office about our new Health Portal. Additional details will be provided on a regular basis between now and the start of school. Please be sure to visit the school website for General Details about the 2019-2020 school year.
SNAP Health Portal
Dear Parents/Guardians:

In lieu of paper forms this year, the BFCCPS Health Office is excited to bring you a Health Portal to increase ease of communication between parents, staff and the Health Office. You will receive an email with more information, including an informational video and how to access your account. Please note the video tells of the various capabilities in the portal, for use at BFCCPS you may view “Personal Details and Contacts” but if any of that information needs to be edited, please do so through School Brains . Once in the portal you may select your preferred language in the upper right corner of the screen.  

All parents/guardians please do the following steps by August 30th :

  • Watch the 4 ½ minute preview video
  • Log in using provided login information and change the password to one that is easy to remember
  • Go to the Dashboard Tab on the left side of the screen
  • If you agree to give the school permission to treat and transport your child in an emergency, look at the lower right corner under the heading of Permissions and click both boxes; click “Update”
  • Go to the Allergies/Conditions Tab on the left side of the screen
  • If the screen accurately reflects your child’s health situation, click the word “Confirm” in the red bar at the top
  • If you want to add an allergy or health condition, click “+New Allergy/Condition” and complete the requested sections, you may attach any supporting physician note here as well; click “Save”
  • If you want to edit or remove an allergy or health condition, click the icon of a pencil with an eraser in the Edit column for that particular allergy/condition, then check the box “No Longer Current”; click “Update”
  • Go to the Medications Tab on the left side of the screen, click on OTC (Over-the-Counter). Note: Our school physician has provided us with an order for acetaminophen (Tylenol), ibuprofen (Motrin), diphenhydramine (Benadryl), and cough drops which may be given to students on an as needed basis if their parent/guardian has provided permission.
  • If you want to give permission for your child to receive any of the listed medications click on the box under the “Granted” column next to each medication; click “Save”
  • If at a later time you want to remove permission to any of these medications, you may click in the same “Granted” box to remove the check mark; click “Save”
  • Go to the Forms Tab on the left side of the screen, click on “2019-2020 Health Office Practice Disclosure and Permission” and read the content, click the red upward arrow in the column on the right 
  • If you give agree to give your permission, click the following 3 items:
  • “Sign Only”
  • “Approve”
  • “Submit”
  • If you do not agree to give your permission, click the following:
  • “Sign Only”
  • “Decline”
  • “Submit”

Parents of ALL incoming students submit your student’s physical exam record (dated within 13 months of the start of school) and vaccination record ; you may submit a paper copy or take the following steps to submit them electronically:
  • Create an electronic copy of your child’s physical or vaccination record, may scan, take photo, etc
  • Go to the Screenings Tab on the left side of the screen
  • Click on Attach Proof of Physical on the right side of the screen
  • Select File
  • Click “Done”

Parents of all Grade 4 & 7 students submit your student’s physical exam record (dated within 13 months of the start of school - you may submit a paper copy or follow the steps noted above to submit electronically

Parents of all Grade 7 students submit your student’s vaccination record with proof of Tdap booster vaccine - you may submit a paper copy or follow the steps noted above to submit electronically

2019-2020 School Forms
Our back to school forms are now available on FamilyID. Please click here to complete the 2019-2020 School Year Forms.

It is important to note that you must include your students LASID (student ID) on the registration packet. LASID's were emailed to all parents this spring from our Data Coordinator. If you need your LASID they are now posted on your child's SchoolBrains Parent Portal .

This registration packet includes the following information:

  • Emergency Contact Information and Approved Dismissal Contacts
  • BFCCPS Technology Responsible Use and Digital Learning Agreement
  • Blanket Permission for In-state Field Trips
  • BFCCPS Family Pledge
  • Media Opt Out: This form needs to be filled out ONLY if you chose to OPT ­OUT of having your child’s image & likeness published for School Use, and/or Media Use.

Breakfast and Lunch orders for the month of September are now posted: find them here.

School Dismissal Manager will launch later this week. All parents will be required to log in and provide us with the approved dismissal method for their children so that we know how all students should be sent home on the first day of school.
