We are incredibly excited for the start of the school year!

Today we are sharing the updated Regional Bus Routes, launching School Dismissal Manager and providing Arrival and Dismissal information for families who opt to pick up/drop off. Additional details will be provided on a regular basis between now and the start of school. Please be sure to visit the school website for General Details about the 2019-2020 school year.
Revised Regional Bus Routes
Over the last week, we have worked with our transportation provider to revise the Regional Bus Routes. An additional bus route has been added to due to increased ridership this year; we have also adjusted several routes and stops. Please be sure to review the updated routes and stops as there have been a number of changes.

We will update FamilyID over the next few days to reflect the latest routes and stops, and will reach out to have you update your registration accordingly. For now, we'll ask you to review the routes in order to update School Dismissal Manager so that we know how to send your student(s) home on the first day of school.
School Dismissal Manager
This year we will continue to use School Dismissal Manager to automate dismissal changes and absence notification. We launched School Dismissal Manager last year and were very pleased with the results.

Parents who used the system last year will use their credentials from last year or use Forgot Password to establish a new password. New parents will be emailed a 5-digit temporary password.

Please check for an email from School Dismissal Manger with details on your login and password for the system.

With the information provided, please use these to login to SDM at  www.schooldismissalmanager.com . We ask all families to update their dismissal instructions using School Dismissal Manager by 9 am on August 29th so we can ensure we have accurate information on how your child(ren) should be sent home .

Using School Dismissal Manager with your desktop or smartphone browser, you can quickly and easily update instructions when your child's dismissal needs to be changed. This service will take place of the practice of making dismissal changes through the main office. The easy-to-use mobile and desktop interface will allow you to make these changes in advance or for the current day. You can also report absences, early dismissals, and even schedule recurring dismissal instructions for after-school activities such as Art Club, Drama Kids, Science Club or Lego League on the desktop version. Free apps are also available for Android and iPhone users.

We have assigned your child a ''default'' dismissal which is just a placeholder to monitor which accounts have been updated and which have not. Once you login, you will see ''Parent Preferences and Student Default'' in the top Menu, you can click on this and change your child's default dismissal instruction within the settings. If you only see ''Parent Preferences'', call the school office and we will make the change for you.

When creating an exception for the current day, please note that the cut-off time is 1:59 on regular days and 10:59 on early release days. In order to ensure an accurate and safe dismissal, it is our expectation that all changes are made on the system before the daily deadline. In the event of an extreme emergency you can contact the school office after the deadline to make any changes for the current day.

Thank you for using this tool to help us keep the dismissal process safe and orderly for all our students. Please contact our office if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Joe Perna
