Dear BFCCPS Community,

With the start of October, our school is now working collaboratively to focus on the virtue of the month Temperance. All students, faculty and staff will work towards Temperance with centering on order (staying organized/putting things away), courtesy and good manners.

The Scope & Sequence is a monthly overview of the upcoming curriculum topics and is one of the main tools you can use as a parent to support your child’s academic success.

These documents outline the main topics in each subject area that your student will be covering that month and is designed to give parents an awareness of the main thrust of the curriculum and provide an opportunity for you to discuss topics and make connections at home that deepen what they are learning at school. If you have a question or comment regarding a Scope & Sequence, please contact the teacher directly. October Scope and Sequence documents are now available here. We encourage all parents to take some time to review this month's updates.

Rob Surette treated us to an amazing Arts Enrichment assembly last Friday. Now, he is partnering with the PCO by selling select prints at reduced prices and giving 50% of the sales back to the school. Here is a link to the fundraising page and order form:  Rob Surette Order Form What a great opportunity to purchase a print from his memorable visit while giving back to the PCO! If you are interested in purchasing a print, please drop your order form off at the school (Attn: Kathleen Hogan kidmail Michael 6L) by October 17.   Any questions please contact Kathleen Hogan at

Thank you for your attention to these important updates.
