Dear BFCCPS Community,

I hope that you and your students had a wonderful long weekend! Yesterday the BFCCPS faculty and staff had a full day of professional development to focus on our Response to Intervention (RTI) Program. Results of the recent Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) exam will be sent to all parents grades K-8 in the next week. For those of you that were not able to join us at Curriculum Night you can read more about MAP testing and RTI in a previous Parent Pillar Newsletter linked here.

We urge all BFCCPS Parents to consider the unique opportunity to partner with us as the Primary Educator of your children. A number of committees and will be holding meetings over the next few weeks and we need your help:

  • We are still in need of volunteers to join the Capital Campaign Committee, without this support from the BFCCPS Community, we will not be able to raise the needed funds to begin the construction of the gymnasium and will not have playground equipment in time for our August, 2019 opening. We hope you can help us continue the strong momentum already established by the leadership team and the Capital Campaign Committee to ensure that we’re able to meet our goals. Please contact me directly at jperna@bfccps.org to learn more about how you can help.

  • The Board of Trustees is in need of community members to join the various committees (Finance, HR, Governance, Facilities and Mission) please see this issue of Ben's Buzz for more details.
