Dear BFCCPS Community,
Our Sixth Grade class headed off early this morning to their adventures at Nature's Classroom. The students, teachers and chaperones have safely arrived at camp and are exploring their new surroundings. We are excited to hear all about their adventures in Yarmouthport when they arrive Friday afternoon around 3pm!
As part of our
Character Education
Pillar, our entire school K-8 will be focusing on virtues of the month. During the month of September, we will be focusing on
Justice
with an emphasis on friendship and respect for adults and peers
. During morning announcements I have challenged all students to display justice by getting to know a new student, or reaching out beyond their friend groups to say hello or have lunch to another student in their grade. As the primary educators of your children I'd like to extend this same challenge to all BFCCPS Parents. Whether at the bus stop, car line, courtyard dismissal or on the
BFCCPS Parents Page
, please reach out to someone you might not have met yet and introduce yourself. I also encourage you to consider volunteer opportunities as a
Room Parent
, member of the
PCO
, or our
Capital Campaign Committee to become more involved in our community!
The recent launch of
School Dismissal Manager has helped streamline our dismissal procedures. It has ensured fewer interruptions in the classrooms and provided an efficient flow of information to ensure the safe dismissal of all students. We thank you all for your cooperation. Now that everyone has had a chance to familiarize yourself with the process we will also ask that you also use
School Dismissal Manager to record your students absence for the day. If your child will be arriving tardy to school you would select "add late arrival" to let us know the reason for your child's tardiness and what time they will arrive to school. A variety of after-school clubs and activities are now forming; please be sure to change their dismissal method to "Activity" denote which activity they will be attending in the subsequent pop up window. Please contact Mrs. Tappin at extension 100 if you need assistance.

A variety of co-chairs are needed for upcoming PCO Programs. We encourage you to visit the following form and let the PCO know where you can provide support during the 2018-2019 school year.
Yearbook Co-ordinator(s) needed!
The PCO board is looking for a volunteer or two to step and take the lead on this year's yearbook. This is a wonderful tradition for our students which only happens due to parent volunteers, so no co-ordinator means no yearbook! Please consider helping out by taking on this, or one of any of our many volunteer opportunities.
