Did You Know?

Orange and green infographic about Emerald Ash Borer-related activity to watch out for in the spring. The header says "Spring Activity" and has three captions underneath. The first caption says, "EAB: EAB pupates and emerges as adult beetles, leaving D-shaped exit holes in ash tree bark-- a distinct sign of infestation." The next caption says, "Parasitoids: Parasitoid wasps lay eggs on or inside EAB larvae. Once hatched, the wasp larvae feed on and kill them, reducing EAB populations." The last caption says, "Woodpeckers: Woodpeckers, key EAB predators, feed less as larvae decline. By late spring, most EAB have emerged from trees." Additionally, the Emerald Ash Borer Network logo is in the bottom left corner.

A printable document describing the signs and symptoms of EAB is available from Michigan State University.
