Our Benefit Concert Rocked!
Our first annual benefit concert was a smash and the foundation is grateful to everyone who participated. The Troubadour was the perfect venue as rock legends Robby Krieger and Richie Fury closed out each set with classic songs. Robby played a few Doors' hits, such as "Love Me Two Times" and "The End". Richie was joined by his daughter Jesse, former POCO bandmate Timothy B. Schmit, and the trio sang a beautiful rendition of "Kind Woman" and "For What It's Worth".

We all enjoyed the wonderful performances by AJ Croce, Jason Scheff, Lily Meola, Claudia Lennear, Willie Shaw, and SayGrace. The live auction was exciting and many guests walked away with one-of-a-kind memorabilia, such as an autographed Fender bass guitar by Tommy Thayer of Kiss; Eagles bass player, Timothy B Schmit, added to the instrument's value by penning his name to it on stage.
A special shout-out to Viridian Lights as this group has a special relationship with our foundation as they are students from one of the music programs we have supported over the years. It was truly a pleasure to see them perform on the historic Troubadour stage and they did an excellent job in entertaining one and all.

We'd also like to say thank you to our co-hosts, Scott Goldman of the Grammy Museum and Nia Peeples for ensuring everyone had a wonderful time. Special mention to our chairman of the board, David Helfant and his staff, as they proved indispensable with our silent auction and making sure everything went smoothly.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without our sponsors.

We are grateful for the support of Wells Fargo, Guitar Center, Mitchell Guitars, Cordoba Guitars, Guild Guitars, Drum Channel, DW Drums, DR Strings, Roland USA, Latin Percussion, and the Grammy Music Education Coalition.
