Dear SPS employee:

Each year, SPS employees have an opportunity to review, change, and/or confirm their insurance benefit selection. This open enrollment period takes place each fall with any changes in plan design or employee selections being implemented January 1 of the next calendar year. View the Benefits Guide for 2024 HERE.

This year’s dates to enroll are October 16, 2023, through November 3, 2023. All benefit eligible employees must enroll in order to obtain, continue or waive benefits that begin January 1, 2024. Employees may elect their benefits on their own using the SmartBen Portal or schedule a meeting with a Benefits Counselor.

CHANGES FOR 2024

Medical and Prescription Drug-Med-Pay (Mercy Health Network) / Capital Rx

• NEW – Pharmacy administration is transitioning from Elixir to Capital Rx. Capital Rx offers an alternative funding program that helps members access enhanced patient assistance funding, making it easier to afford medications.
• NEW – Base PPO Specialty drugs will be covered at 20% after Rx Deductible ($250 Individual / $500 Family), up to $2,500 maximum out-of-pocket per calendar year
• NEW – Buy Up PPO Non-Preferred brand name drugs will apply $50 copayment after Rx Deductible ($200 Individual / $400 Family)

Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) - TASC

• NEW – SPS is increasing the annual HSA Employer Contribution from $708 to $912.

REVIEW CURRENT BENEFIT ELECTIONS - SmartBen Portal

To review your current benefit elections, access the SmartBen Portal by logging in at SmartBen using your SmartBen login information. Your User ID is your SPS Employee Number +SPS (ex: 12345SPS). Your password is the last 4 digits of your Social Security number, followed by SPS (ex: 9477SPS).
