President Trump Signs Bills Aimed to Protect Consumers from Overpaying for Prescriptions
On Wednesday, October 10, 2018, President Donald Trump signed two bills into law that ban the “gag clauses” that can result in consumers overpaying for their prescriptions.

IRS Issues Letter 5699 to Non-compliant Employers
Remember the first go-round of ACA reporting? Wasn't that a fun time for us all?! Between vendors over promising and under delivering on ACA reporting software, deadline extensions and an overall sense of uncertainty, ACA reporting for 2015 plan years (carried out in early 2016) was interesting to say the least.

Fast forward two and a half years and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has started sending Letter 5699 to employers that have not complied with their Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting requirements under Internal Revenue Code Section 6056 for the 2015 calendar year.
