Summer Intern joins Williston Economic Development

Williston Economic Development - A student from the University of Wyoming has been hired by the City of Williston for a summer internship. Devyn Cox, age 23, began working for Williston Economic Development (WED) on Monday, June 21. Cox, who plans to graduate in the spring of 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSAD), has lived in Williston for one year. The Laramie, WY native began her collegiate studies in the fall of 2016 after graduating from Laramie High School in May 2016. Read More
Benelli's Boutique celebrates Ribbon Cutting

Williston Economic Development - A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at Benelli's Boutique on Tuesday, June 22. The retail shop is located in the Badlands Town Center at 910 42nd St. W., Suite 427. Benelli's, owned by Nicole McKechnie, offers customized t-shirts, jewelry, air fresheners and much more! The store is open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. daily (hours may change). Also housed with Benelli's is C's Dance Complex.

Williams County to finalize TENORM Request June 28

Williams County News Release - The Williams County Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Special Meeting on Monday, June 28, 2021, at 8 am in the Williams County Commission Room to finalize their recommendation as it pertains to the request from WISCO, Inc. to amend their Conditional Use Permit to include TENORM waste disposal at their existing special waste landfill. A public hearing will not be held during this meeting as the public comment period was closed on June 17, 2021. Read More
SBDC launches New Site for
North Dakota-made Products

UND CoBPA - The North Dakota Small Business Development Centers has launched a brand-new platform for small businesses to come together and sell their products and services online. “We’re excited to be able to offer ShopND.com at no-cost to our clients. It’s one of many programs we are rolling out in order to help businesses compete and grow in the marketplace, now and in the future,” said Greg Syrup, CARES Program Director for the organization. Read More
New Treatment Center opens Near Watford City

McKenzie County Farmer - “It’s kind of surreal that we’re here and we’re open. After three years, I feel like I can breathe,” says Brenda Owen, Summit Silver Creek Recovery Center executive director, who opened McKenzie County’s first residential addiction and mental health treatment center on June 11.
