The EV charging station offers a seamless and easily accessible charging experience for electric vehicle owners not only in the Bennett community but all those traveling along the I-70 Corridor.

“We are excited and grateful for this partnership with CORE so we can provide reliable and convenient access to eco-friendly transportation solutions,” said Town Manager Trish Stiles.

“We are pleased to play a role in providing the infrastructure necessary to meet our member's growing EV demands,” said Mandi Lesher, CORE’s Chief Member Experience Officer. “The Town of Bennett has been a great partner in this project, and thank you to the Colorado Energy Office for supplying the Charge Ahead Colorado grants that help make this program possible.

Bennett's Planning Manager Honored

The Town of Bennett is proud of our very own, Steve Hebert, for receiving a Distinguished Service Award at the DRCOG Annual Awards ceremony on October 4, 2023.

DRCOG acknowledged that Steve brought a wealth of experience when he arrived in Bennett, including transit-oriented development in Lone Tree and Greenwood Village, forming an intergovernmental agreement with the South Suburban Parks and Recreations Department and countless jurisdiction planning efforts with Community Matters Incorporated and Jefferson County.

The Town of Bennett is lucky to have Steve on our team and we appreciate all that he does for our community.

Prep Your Trees For Colder Weather

Keep your trees healthy and safe from the cold weather!

Wrapping trees when temperatures start getting cold protects them against sunscald and frost cracks.

Trees that should be wrapped are thin barked trees that are one to three years old. Examples of thin barked trees are Lindon, Maple, Crabapple, etc. Thick barked trees, such as bur oak, do not need to be wrapped.

When wrapping, start at the bottom of the tree and overlap by 1/3 of the wrap until you reach the first branch. You may use electrical tape at the top of the tree where the tree wrap ends.

Tip: The wrapping looks nicer if you do so with the writing on the inside!
