Design Guidelines

During the preparation of the new Bennett Land Use Code in 2014, design standards were removed from the old Land Use Code. New design guidelines will reflect the Town's desire to attain a desirably built environment through collaboration rather than strict regulation. We need your input on preparing design guidelines for future development!

Zoning Map Update

Initial updates to the Town's Official Zoning Map were completed in early 2015 concurrent with the adoption of the new land use code. A second round of zoning map updates are needed to complete the transition of several outdated Planned Development's and non-conforming zoning districts into one of the new zoning districts. Stop by to get details on the zoning map update!

The Adams County Mayors and Commissioners Youth Award (ACMCYA) program recognizes teenagers in grades 6 through 12 throughout Adams County, including Bennett, who have overcome personal adversity to create positive change in their lives and for those around them. This program provides businesses, the community and civic leaders an opportunity to actively demonstrate their support for the young people in all of our communities and recognize them for their tremendous accomplishments.

All business sponsors will get tickets to the event and will receive recognition in our event program and on our website.  For more information, view the following links:

We look forward to your partnership in recognizing these deserving youth!

Many of our ongoing town facility and infrastructure improvements provide opportunities for private contractors where the best bidder is awarded the project and in turn is responsible for construction of that project. This partnership between government and business works well to support local contractors as we improve and expand our town systems.Go to our website for postings of Request for Proposals (RFP) published by the town.
