Certification for our Contribution Projects is now open

As a reminder, last year The Colorado Economic Development Commission approved two Enterprise Zone Contribution Project Designations for the Town of Bennett.

These certified Contribution Projects by the Colorado Economic Development Commission are now eligible for financial contributions providing tax credits to contributors.

Individuals and organizations with a Colorado state income tax liability can earn tax credits by contributing to designated Contribution Projects. Contributors to these organizations can earn a 25% tax credit on cash contributions or 12.5% on the value of in-kind contributions.
Tax Credits - A taxpayer who makes a qualified monetary contribution to an Enterprise Zone Contribution Project Designation may earn a Colorado Income Tax Credit of 25% of the value of the contribution up to a maximum credit of $100,000. Qualified in-kind contributions made to an Enterprise Zone Contribution Project Designation may be eligible for a 12.5% in-kind credit. Examples of in-kind contributions are; employee labor, materials, furniture, computer equipment or stock.

The approval of these projects was brought about through a cohesive partnership with the Town of Bennett and Adams County Economic Development (ACED).

Support the Adams County Mayors and Commissioners Youth Awards

The Adams County Mayors and Commissioners Youth Awards started in 1986 with the hope of honoring brave youth in our communities who have battled hardship and adversity in their life and won.

The awards program is asking for donations to put towards scholarships for youth in our communities.

This program seeks out the quiet unsung heroes in their communities that traditionally would go unnoticed. Some of the hardships recognized by the program include homelessness, poverty, bullying, gang involvement, physical/mental abuse, unstable home life, tragedy, physical/mental impairment, drug abuse, and much more.

Each year the cities in Adams County solicit nominations and in 2018 over 100 nominations were submitted! These nominees were honored by their respective cities and their nominations were then forwarded to the County Selection Committee responsible for picking the top 20 to be recognized at a special banquet in April. The highest scoring of theses 20 nominees were awarded scholarships for their diligence and perseverance.

Currently the program is looking for donations for scholarships for the 2019 year. All money goes directly to recipients to help further their educational goals. Please feel free to reach out to Alison Digan, Public Relations Coordinator at for information and questions.
