Posters for Hope
Get creative and
make a sign of encouragement for us to hang on our gates. Just send an email
to
hope@benningtonmuseum.org
to let us know you left something. Tom, our buildings and grounds manager, will hang it up! We have had lots of beautiful submissions and now that the rain has abated, it is time for reinforcements! The picture in the header above is a wonderful painted sign by
Emily Gold
that we added to our gates last week.
We also have printed lawn signs available for sale for $30. If you have space for one in your yard, and would like to share this positive message, just send us an
email
and we will send you a payment link and
set one aside for you to pick up while supplies last.

Tours at Ten and more
Our “Tours at Ten” series takes you behind the scenes for a close up look at some interesting and seldom seen pieces in the Museum's collection as well as brief explorations of the galleries and other objects on display. Every weekday morning at 10am these videos, which are sometimes live, and sometimes recorded in advance, are shared to
Facebook
.
In addition to "Tours at Ten", we have created a special
Youtube
channel just for kids that captures the essence of some of our educational programs put on hold these last few months. If your kiddos miss Museum ABCs, or were looking forward to that Bennington Museum field trip, these videos might just brighten up their day.
All of these videos are also posted on our
website
.
Check them out and let us know what you think. If you have an object or topic you would like to see explored, send your ideas to
ideas@benningtonmuseum.org
and we will do our best to present it.

Go for a Walk
The weather is turning a corner, and we all could use a little fresh air. The Museum welcomes everyone to get out and enjoy the trails on our ten-acre campus, open dawn till dusk, and dogs are welcome! While you are out, take note of the
18 beautiful hand painted benches
, recently installed by Jackie and Tony Marro and the George Aiken Wildflower Trail volunteer crew.

Coffee and a Chat!
Join Executive Director Joshua Torrance for the kick-off of the now digital
Coffee and Chat sessions on ZOOM - it is a BYOC (bring your own coffee) event, of course.
|
|
Date: Thursday, May 7
Time: 10am to 11am
|
After you register you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the ZOOM call and your password. We will close this form after the first 10 people have signed up, but we do intend to have these on a regular basis.
Not sure about ZOOM? Don't worry, it is an easy click and will download on your phone, tablet, or computer automatically if you haven't used it already. Headphones are recommended!

Shop for Mother's Day
The Museum may be closed, but our
online shop is open
for business. With Mother's Day right around the corner, you could purchase that perfect gift and support your favorite local Museum in one fell swoop. We are working on getting as
many of our products
online as possible, but if there is something you know you want that you don't see, please feel free to
send us a note
to ask us about it. We will make sure that we are able to ship Mother's Day purchases in a timely manner, or schedule a time for you to stop by and pick them up.

The online survey takes about 15 minutes to complete. In order to be included, you’ll need to
complete the survey by Sunday, May 17th
. As a small token of appreciation, you’ll be entered to win one of 25 $100 VISA gift cards. All your responses will be kept strictly anonymous.
Please note: You may receive this survey invitation from more than one organization. If so, please only take the survey once.
