Bennington Museum Monthly
|
|
The last month of summer has provided us with fantastic opportunities to reach out and engage with our community, from Friday night dancing in the courtyard, to a sweet Lemonade fundraiser, to virtual workshops that included participants from across the country. You have embraced every program we have put up and asked for more. Thank you for your support and encouragement!
Read on to see what Bennington Museum has in store for you this month. If you have ideas about what might interest you this fall, please send them our way: ideas@benningtonmuseum.org. And remember, you can help us tremendously by forwarding this newsletter to your friends or sharing it on facebook. The more people we can reach, the better we are able to fulfill our mission and serve our community.

NBOSS at the Museum is now up on our website. This exhibit provides a safe, outdoor, socially distanced cultural experience for our community and visitors. It is amazing to see in-person, but for those of us who don't live nearby or can't get out, this online exhibit tells a bit more about the artists and provides some excellent images taken from different vantage points.
The People's Choice exhibit continues to be a main attraction for Museum guests who want to vote on their favorite object. This week the award went to Patsy Santo's "Ready for Battle, 1954," which captures the nostalgia of a winter snowball fight.

Starting in October 2020, Bennington Museum will offer digital membership cards which can be downloaded and saved to your smartphone. Going digital means that you never have to worry about forgetting your membership card, in addition to being more environmentally friendly and reducing administrative costs. Don't worry, we will provide many more details to our current members this month, but in the meantime check out our FAQ page for more information and answers to your burning questions.
Whether you are a Monument Society member or hold an individual membership card, your support helps make what we do here possible. Thank you.
If you haven't yet joined the Museum, we invite you to consider doing so today. All members receive discounts in the Museum store as well as reduced rates on those fantastic programs and workshops listed above.
