Parsha Talk
One of the challenges of being a teacher is not leaping to conclusions. For example, if a student does not turn in homework night after night, a teacher might start to infer that this child is lazy or does not value that particular subject. What does this week's parsha, Vayeishev, have to suggest?

International Festival
We are so proud of Gveret Erlichman's 5th grade students, who despite the strange times, celebrated the 17th Annual International Festival. Students were tasked with researching a country, building a model synagogue from the country, showcasing their research in Hebrew, and submitting a recipe honoring the heritage of the country. Click here for the International Festival experience. The link showcases videos of all the hard work the 5th grade put in, along with the coveted recipe book.
Please note: to play a video simply click on the image under the "video" title. We recommend when viewing the videos to open the links in a new tab, or you may elect to press the back button on your browser to return to the presentation.

After researching the temple complex of Tikal in present-day Guatemala, the students are using TinkerCad and the BIMA lab to create 3D models of a Maya temple. After the models are printed, the class will construct a room-size scale model of a Maya temple out of cardboard.
