RMBA's Yeshiva University National Model United Nations (YUNMUN) team scored again, this year representing the People's Democratic republic of Laos. While the COVID-safe conference might have been a one-day blitz over Zoom, it still included schools across the country and the world—and all of the energy of the in-person event.
Co-Captain Jeremy Morgan picked up his third award this year, and Delegate Elie Gelman cemented his position as incoming Captain with his Honorable Mention. Co-Captain Jacob Plumb, Yael Passy, Abraham Behar, Jacob Kupferman, Shani Yanowitz, and Avidan Abramson rounded out this year's award-winning team.
A special note to truly recognize the efforts of this group: YUNMUN's success is entirely based on teamwork. Despite every obstacle, this team showed up, practiced (outdoors in near freezing temperatures), debated, laughed, sang, and even sometimes danced. It is bittersweet to end the season because it means saying goodbye to our graduating senior captains; we know the incoming team will make them proud. A special thank you to Gavi Roisman, team coach, who shared her passion and dedication with our students. We are so appreciative.
