S.T.E.A.M. Lab

This week in STEAM we took inspiration from Simchat Torah to learn about the number 10 and about rules. We learned that Computer Programmers give our technological devices rules to follow (codes) to make them work. We then became computer programmers as we created and played our own coding game (Code Hopper). We also focused on number recognition, sequencing and counting from 1 - 10.
Calling all Parents

In the next few weeks you will be hearing from either a principal or the head of school with these two questions:

  • What are we doing well as a school?
  • What could we be doing even better as a school?

To facilitate our conversations, please give some thought to your responses in advance. We look forward to hearing from you, our partners in education!
Sukkah Sweets

Upper School students were treated to a delicious breakfast spread including yogurt parfaits, bagels, and eggs.
Sukkah on Wheels

Students in Lower School enjoyed a special visit by Rabbi Mendy Traxler of Chabad Outreach who brought his mobile Sukkah. While the Sukkah was too wet to experience due to the rain, students enjoyed special games and snacks.
Cold War Games

Mr. Novick's 7th grade class played games related to their learning about the beginning of the Cold War in Europe.
Up, Down, Right, Left, and
All Around

Students in Morah Aviva's EC4 class had the chance to make brachot (blessings) on a real lulav and etrog. Everyone got to shake the lulav up, down, right, left, and all around!
